How the Credible verification process works
A step-by-step look at how our human-reviewed verification process works — from document submission to badge issuance.

A Credible Verified badge is not a sticker you can buy. Every application is reviewed by a real human at our verification desk. Here is what that looks like, end to end.
Step 1 — Submit your documents
You tell us who you are. We ask for the legal name on your trade licence, the registration number, the address on file, and a few photos of the business premises. The exact list depends on your category — a restaurant needs a food licence, a clinic needs a BMDC registration.
Step 2 — Human review
A reviewer checks every document. If something is missing, they tell you — politely and clearly. The median turnaround is two business days.
Step 3 — Badge issued
Once approved, the badge appears on your profile forever. If anything changes (a new owner, a new address), we ask you to tell us, and we re-verify. The badge always reflects current reality.
